Requirements

Speed test.
Spoiler:

Quest
The completion of the quest “Making The Secret Medicine For Transformation” is the most important requirement. If not completed you will be unable to enter Horntail’s cave. The items required for the completion of this quest are as follows :

* 10 Dragon skins (found at wyverns [red i find is quickest])
* 1 Cornian Dagger (search for “Broken Dagger” from Cornians and also obtain 1 steel plate and 1 mithril plate. Then go to leafre’s weapon shop to forge the dagger)
* 1 Cornian’s Marrow (found at Cornians)
* 1 Skull Shoulder Pad (found from Dark Cornians)
* 1 Manon’s Cry (found from Manon, do not procrastinate on getting your cry.)

Be sure that the quest is ACTIVATED before you search for the items required for the quest completion otherwise the items will be impossible to find. DO NOT COMPLETE THE QUEST UNTIL YOU ARE ACTUALLY READY TO ENTER THE CAVE because if you complete the quest you will transform into a Cornian and WILL LOSE the items you collected and if you do stay there and wait then warn one of us.

Class requirements
Ranged classes (Night Lords(NL), Bowmasters(BM), Marksman(MM), Corsairs(CS))

* HP + HB = 7,800+ (HP without HB = 4,900+)
* NL: I suggest at least lvl 10 shadow claw + 18-20 sets of stars (if you have a higher level shadow claw you can bring less, though I recommend against that so bring 18-20 sets anyways)
* BM+MM: I would hope for a decent level sharp eyes and maxed will be highly appreciated as it does improve the speed of the run
* Corsairs: What would be nice is max battle ship and/or maxed rapid fire. I also suggest 20+ sets of bullets if you are afraid of using your ship.

Melee classes (Heroes, Dark Knights (Drks), Paladins(Pals), Buccaneers (BCN)

* HP + HB = 14,000+ (HP without HB = 8,500+)
* Warriors should have 150+ accuracy + bless
* Minimum of lvl 10 stance
* Drks MUST have MAXED HB
* Buccaneers minimum of lvl 1 Time Leap

Mages/ Evan

* 12,000 MP (without HB)
* Maxed Magic Guard

Bishops

* 10,000 MP (without HB)
* Max Magic Guard
* Max Heal
* Max Invincible
* Max Dispel
* Max Bless
* Max Resurrect (would be nice but lvl 1 is also ok)
* Max Holy Symbol (not actually required but everyone wants more exp)
* Max Holy Shield (not actually required, but it helps)

Shadowers

* HP + HB = 6,500+ (HP without HB = 4,100+)
* Max Dark Sight, Meso Guard
* Shadow Shifter minimum of lvl 10 (preferably maxed)

Seduce Mule

* Preferably a warrior or Shadower (Highest avoid rate in game)
* Shadower requirements are the same as listed in the above section
* Seduce Warriors should have minimum 18,000-20,000 HP with HB (11,500-12,000 without HB)
* Seduce warriors also should have 30 stance

Potions

All Classes are recommended to bring a minimum of the following potions: (These are set for in preparation of "the worst case scenario.")

* Ranged classes – 1,000+ Ginger Ale (less if you have quite a bit of power elixers)/ 400+ Power Elixirs, 600+ mp potions and 100-200 all cures (you may bring extra ginger ales and power elixirs to recover mp if you don want to carry just mp healing potions)
* Night Lords/ Corsairs recharge your stars, carry at least about 3hours worth of training stars.
* Melee Classes – 600+ Ginseng roots/ Hornsters, 600+ mana potions and 100-200 all cures (you may bring extra ginger ales and power elixirs to recover mp if you don't want to carry just mp healing potions)
* Mages or Evans – 900+ Ginger Ale/ and a few Power Elixirs and 100-200 all cures
* Bishops – 500-800+ Ginger Ale/Power Elixirs (Optional: Bring 40-50 All cures)
* Seduce mule – 500 hp potions, 500mp potions and 50 all cures

Special Advice: Ranged/melee classes 900-1000 ginger ales and 200-300 power elixirs make the best choice for pot use, use ginger ales during stages 1 & 2, power elixirs during Stage Three Part 1: Legs+Tail then back to ginger ales for the rest of the battle.
For warriors, I have used only 400 Ginseng roots in a two hour run, an excess of potions may not be necessary, but be cautious.

Full Guide

Quote :
First and foremost, before even entering the cave pay close attention to whoever is organizing. You are all going to sign up in a very particular order as follows:

* Seduce Mule
* Back up seduce mules
* Warriors
* Mages / Evans
* Attacker/range
* Bishops

The leader will call out everyone one by one.
At this point make sure that you are LISTENING to the organizers and follow their instructions. While the organizers are listing people to sign up pay attention to hear your name and once your name is called to sign up please call out “Signed Up” so that the organizer knows that you are on the list and can move on to calling the next name to be on the sign up list. Also when you guys are headed into the cave and your name is called to enter, call out “Going In” so that the organizer is aware of your entrance and can move on to the next name to enter. Remember that there is a timer, so listen carefully and pay attention so everyone enters efficiently and quickly.

Before Stage Three

Yeah, you made it this far and as a reward, you get a break. Well, you don’t need to take it but since the next portion of the fight is going to be long, I suggest at this time everyone go take a quick break and get yourself ready to have the fight of your lives. It is going to take about an hour to an hour and a half.
